Cubs v. Sox -
IMPORTANT CHANGE
For those of you who have
purchased tickets for the White Sox v. Cubs there has been a change
of games for your second ticket option. The White Sox have very
recently informed Maureen Pikarski that all group tickets for
the Boston series (our game was Sunday, August 10) were purchased
en masse by US Cellular. Therefore they cannot honor their previous
commitment to us. We have replaced that game with the White Sox
v. Detroit game on Thursday, August 7 at 7:11 p.m. Anyone who
purchased tickets for the Boston game (Sunday, August 10), please
note this change. If necessary, let Maureen know if you want to
change your order based upon this new information. She needs to
know of any cancellations ASAP! In addition four tickets are left
for the White Sox Minnesota game June 8, at 1:05. Please contact
Maureen Pikarski at Gordan & Pikarski 312-521-7004 or
mpikarski@gordonpikarski.com.

Constitutional Convention
Dear Advocates Members, In the November
election, there will be submitted a questions as to whether a Constitutional
Convention should be called. Few, if any, citizens are aware of the issue.
We as lawyers should be cognizant of the election and the ramifications
of the vote. Our professional and personal lives will be guided by the
outcome of the issue. I make no judgment as to whether or not to support
the call for a Constitutional Convention. Some of the issues that could
potentially be raised in the Constitutional Convention are, but not limited
to, Separation of Church and State; Death Penalty; Right to Bear Arms;
Privacy; Abortion; Same Sex Marriage; Civil Unions; Gene Manipulation;
Stem Cell Research, or any other aspect of medical technology; Term Limits;
Re-Districting; Selection of Judges; Graduated Income Tax; Property Tax;
State Funding of Education; School Prayer; Recall; Campaign Finances;
Immigration Issues; and, Beginning and Ending of Life Issues. The last
Constitutional Convention was four decades ago, and the drafters wisely
mandated a review every 20 years. It is important that we members of the
bar, as community leaders, are knowledgeable about the Constitutional
Convention. Sincerely yours, John J. Pikarski, Jr.
